Cookie Policy

In the following pages are described the operating modalities of the web site according to the laws concerning  the protection of individuals who access the site with regard to the processing of personal data. Such notes are included also in the Legislative Decree n. 196/2003, article n. 13 – Personal Data Protection Code for individuals who use the web services of the company CASTELLANI SRL, consulting the web site: www.castellani.eu.

The code is valid only for the site of the company CASTELLANI SRL and not for other sites eventually accessed by the user through web links. These notes are based on the European directive n. 2/2001, on the protection of personal data, which is itself included in the article 29 of the Directive 95/46/CE, effective from 17th May 2001, which concerns some minimal requirements for the online collection of personal data and especially, the modalities, the time and the kind of information that the “data controller” must supply to the users who access some web pages, apart from what they aim.

The “Data Controller”
As a consequence of the visit to this site, the data referring to identified or identifiable people is subject to be processed. The “Data Controller” of such processing is CASTELLANI SRL, via G. GALILEI TRAV. III, 24 25010 San Zeno Naviglio (BS) Italia.

Place of the processing of personal data
The processing connected to the Web services of this site takes place in the afore-mentioned company and is dealt with only by technical personnel of the office responsible for the processing, or by occasional people in charge of possible maintenance operations, who are adequately built to the respect of privacy. No data coming from the use of web services is neither published nor spread. The personal data given by the users who ask for the dipatch of some informational material (newsletter, FAQ, suggestions, demand of quotations, contacts, and so on) is processed only to accomplish the service or the performance required. In addition to that, the data is communicated to third parties only if necessary to the purpose (sending some informational or advertising material through Poste Italiane S.p.A. and/or other agreed forwarders).

Kinds of personal data processed
Navigation Data: The computer-based systems and the software procedures involved in the working of this Web site, in the course of their normal service, come into possession of some personal information, whose transmission is implied in the use of the protocols of Internet communication. This information is not collected to be associated to any identified people, but, through processes and associations with data owned by third parties, by its own nature it might lead to the identification of users. In this category of data are included the IP addresses or the names stored in the domain of the computers used by those who access the site, the addresses in notation URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) of the required resources, the time of  the request, the method used to forward the request to the server, the size of the file received in reply, the digit code showing the state of the reply given by the server (good, error, etc…) and other parameters connected with the operating system and the structure and conditions of the user’s computer.  This data is used only to get anonymous statistical information about the use of the site and to check its correct performance and is deleted immediately after processing. The data might be used to investigate responsibilities, should there be any data processing offences against the site: apart from this possibility, at present the data on web contacts does not last for more than seven days or, in any case, it doesn’t last longer than the time necessary to accomplish the requests. 

Data voluntary provided by the user: The optional, explicit and voluntary forwarding of personal data on this site implies the subsequent acquisition of the data provided by the sender, which is essential to the procession of the required service.

COOKIES
What cookies are and how they are used
Cookies are small text files which are forwarded by a web site to the hard disk of the user’s computer. Cookies enables to create a connection between the user’s computer, the navigation on the site and the profile created eventually by the user. They are not specifically personal, but they can be connected to personal information. The cookies used by CASTELLANI SRL are temporary (they aren’t saved on the hard disk when the session is closed): when the user logs in the site and inserts User Name and Password, the cookies provide his identification and enable the access to the services according to the user’s personal profile.  Some cookies are also used anonymously for statistical purposes about the use of the services.

There are two different kinds of cookies: “session cookies” and “persistent cookies”. “Session cookies”, after having been downloaded, are cancelled when closing the browser; “persistent cookies” are stored on the hard disk of the user until their expire time.

Session cookies used aim to accelerate the analysis of the traffic on the Internet and to facilitate the access to the site services for the users. Session cookies are mainly used during the authentication, the authorization and the navigation of the services accessed through a registration. The main part of browser is structured to accept cookies.

The user can refuse the receiving of cookies, setting up his browser according to the following instructions. If the user decides not to receive cookies, he will however access the site, but some service couldn’t be for him entirely or partly available (e.g. to access as a registered user, to receive newsletter, to insert products in his “wish list”, …). The use of session cookies (which aren’t permanently stored on the user’s computer and which are cancelled when the browser is closed) is limited to the transmission of session data, which is necessary to enable the safe and complete access to the site. The session cookies used in this site avoid the necessity to use other informatics channels which could damage the privacy of the user’s navigation and don’t enable the acquiring of personal data of the user. For the navigation in the site, the following navigation data are to be collected:

• IP address;
• session cookies;
• login attempts.

Every data is technical, temporary valid and isn’t collected to identify non-registered users. Even though, they could lead to the identification of the user because of their working modalities and if combined with other data in possession of third parties (e.g. the Internet service provider).

Browser setup
Normally the settings of the browser can be easily modified, following this procedure: - select “Internet Options” or “Preferences” in the Tools Menu or “View” or “Edit”; - select Privacy or “Protection” or Download and choose the desired settings. Further information is available in the user’s manual or in the file “Help” of the browser. It is even possible to collect further information at the web address of the browser used. 

Voluntary providing of personal data
Apart from what has been specified for navigation data, the user can voluntary provide his personal data to demand for the sending of some informational material or other communications. If such data isn’t provided, the dispatch of what requested could not be guaranteed.  

Processing arrangements
Personal data is processed with automated instruments only forno longer than what is necessary for the purposes for which thedata were collected. Specific security measures are kept to prevent the loss of data or its unauthorized or incorrect use.

Data Subject’s Rights
Data subjects have the right, at any time, to obtain confirmation about whether or not personal data exist, to know its content and source, to verify its accuracy or to demand its integration, updating or rectification (Art. 7, Legislative Decree 196/2003). In accordance with such article, the user has the right to ask for the erasure, the depersonalization or the blocking of data that have been processed unlawfully, and, furthermore, to refuse on legitimate grounds, the processing of personal data, even though they are relevant to the purpose of the collection. This kind of requests are to be addressed without particular form and with no expenses to CASTELLANI SRL using the contacts available on the site.

Facebook Social Plugins
Our web pages could contain some plug-in of the social network facebook.com, managed by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Av., Palo Alto, CA 94304, United States (“facebook”). Such plug-ins, in particular, could coincide with the buttons “Like” of facebook. If you access one of our pages with such plug-in, the browser connects immediately to the facebook servers and the plug-in is visualized on the screen thanks to the connection to the browser. The plug-in communicates to the server what pages the user has accessed.

If a facebook or Twitter user or a user of any other social network accesses our web site when he is connected to his account of the social network, such information will be associated to his account of the social network. Even if the functions of the plug-in are used (e.g. clicking “I like” or publishing a comment), the information will be associated to the account of the social network in question.

Further information on the collection and the use of data by facebook, Twitter or other social networks, as well as information concerning the rights and the arrangements to protect the privacy in such environments are present in the section of such social networks which involves the arrangements for the protection of data. If the user doesn’t want his access to our web pages to be associated to his account on a social network, he must exit the social network before entering our pages.

Canges to the privacy policy
CASTELLANI SRL reserves his rights to modify, update, add or remove some parts of his privacy and security policy at any time and at his own discretion. The user should verify periodically the possible modifications of this page. In order to facilitate this kind of verification, the information sheet include the date of its publishing on the site. The use of the site after the publishing of the changes involves the acceptance of such changes.
